Not Using Microsoft Teams? You’re Missing Out.

Chances are you already have access to Microsoft Teams, you just don’t know it yet. If your organization is currently running Microsoft Office 365, then Teams is already available to you.

Since the launch of Microsoft Teams preview in November, more than 85 million Office 365 users have taken advantage of this new collaboration tool.

So what is so great about Microsoft Teams?

Teams introduces a new way to communicate and collaborate internally with a simple and straightforward user interface. This new tool allows for organized conversations, integrated solutions, dependable artificial intelligence, and personalization.

Organized Conversations

Do you constantly have multiple on-going projects? If so, you know that keeping everyone in the loop on each individual project can be very difficult and time-consuming. With Teams, you can create unique conversation boards for each project, and allow access to specific team members on a board-by-board basis.

You will also have the ability to tag specific members on a conversation board, which will then notify the individual mentioned. With Teams, digging through old email threads is a thing of the past!

Office 365 Teams Integrated Solutions

Integrated Solutions

Does your Social Media team work in HootSuite and your operations team work in Trello? With Microsoft Teams you can now integrate multiple solutions into one place. For example, you and your Social Media team can now see what is trending on your HootSuite stream right on Microsoft Teams platform. With so many available integrations, the possibilities are endless.

Additionally, you can access all of Office 365’s offerings as well (OneDrive, SharePoint, Skype for Business, etc.). This gives you the ability to share a document and start a group video conference call with just a few clicks right in the Teams platform.

Dependable Artificial Intelligence

Teams also comes fully equipped with bots to assist you with your common day-to-day questions. For example, if you want to know what John’s extension number is or who he reports to, WhoBot will be able to help you with that. WhoBot is built on the Microsoft Graph artificial intelligence framework and is able to pull data directly from Active Directory. All you have to do is ask.

Personalization

One way Microsoft has really captured the interest in Millennials is with its personalization feature that allows you to express yourself in the form of emojis, stickers, and personalized memes. So instead of replying your co-workers with a boring “ok” you can now send unique memes using the built in custom meme generator and bring some laughter and joy to your day-to-day.

How does Teams stack up to competitors like Slack?

Many may argue that Microsoft Teams offers just about the same features as its largest competitor, Slack. However, Teams is really a tool built to enhance the user experience of Microsoft’s already existing Office 365 clients. This unique tool provides users an easy way to access all of their Office 365 product offerings while creating a more efficient collaboration hub among co-workers.
