The End of Microsoft Dynamics Marketing – Make Way for Dynamics 365
As of November 1, Microsoft has discontinued the sale of Microsoft Dynamics Marketing to new customers. This change paves the way for the adoption of Microsoft’s new product, Dynamics 365. Microsoft will be supporting their Marketing customers through the new Dynamics 365 for Marketing application. Built specifically for Dynamics 365, this new app is expected to be released Spring 2017. The app will be part of the Dynamics 365 Business Edition, and according to Microsoft, will leverage “years’ worth of customer feedback, internal experience, and industry refinements in the marketing space to bring forth the next generation of marketing.” What’s Included? Dynamics 365 for Marketing will include support for email marketing, event management, and landing pages. Additionally, the application will have deep integration with Dynamics 365 for Sales. Bring Your Appointment Book into the Future: Office 365’s Bookings Service Comes to Facebook
No one likes to play communication tag with their contacts when they’re trying to get things done. That’s why Microsoft developed Bookings, an appointment scheduling service that allows clients to schedule appointments with you, even when you’re not around to answer that email or phone call. What is Bookings? Bookings, a service in the Office 365 suite, provides businesses with customized self-service scheduling. A client is given visibility over the times you’re available to meet with them and they can easily book an appointment via the web page on any device. How to Void a Credit Card Authorization Directly from NetSuite
Organizations that process credit card transactions through NetSuite will be pleased to learn of an enhancement with the release of update 2016.2.  The new feature allows for credit card authorizations to be voided directly within the system by either closing or canceling the related Sales Order. Prior to 2016.2, users were required to login to their payment gateway account to void an authorization. What is Credit Card Pre-Authorization? In this article, the terms authorization and pre-authorization are used interchangeably to refer to a temporary hold placed on funds, without actually processing a charge to the card. This authorization ensures that a buyer has sufficient funds or credit in their account to cover the amount of the purchase. For the duration of the pre-authorization, the funds are “reserved”, meaning that the cardholder cannot spend this money elsewhere or allocate the credit to another transaction.  If the merchant does not “capture” or […]
